Remediation

Following a contaminated land or groundwater risk assessment, and where pollutants have been identified, remediation strategies may need to be implemented before the client can continue to develop the site.

In the majority of cases this will be a requirement laid down by the Local Authority or the Environment Agency.

On such sites, GIP has a wealth of experience in producing remediation strategies, often in conjunction with a specialist contractor, to ensure that the best and most cost effective solution is reached to enable the development to go ahead.

Following the implementation of the proposed remediation works, GIP's engineers will assess and monitor the site to ensure that the risk of pollutants has been sufficiently minimised and the procedure can be validated.
